A theoretical Question
#1
Suppose, (and I don't wish for this to happen so don't get me wrong) that Vince McMahon dies of a heart attack this weekend.

Obviously the company goes to Linda and Shane and Stephanie help run it, but what do you think the direction the company would take would be.

Would the guys who deserve the pushes get them? Would HHH rise to power never before seen by a wrestler?

Personally, I see Triple H pushing his opinion more and people who deserve the pushes not getting them. As much as I would like to see Vince step away and give the company to someone credible, I know that will never happen. Right now, I see it as the lesser of the evils.

Wait, how is this different from right now?

And of course it would continue and/or get worse (if that's possible) if Vince died, because Steph would probably take over.

I think Raw and Smackdown would be cancelled. Vince is the star drawing the money, they couldn't possibly have a show without him.

The shows would be like...

-All In The Family without Archie.
-The Flintstones without Fred
-Debbie without Dallas

it just wouldn't work. Just ask him.

As much as it sounds hard to believe considering the current state of things, yeah I believe it would get much worse. I also think HHH would be even more egotistical than he already is now.
With Stephanie calling the shots, her new hubby would probably be the champ of both RAW and Smackdown. Hell, he'd probably hold every single belt on both shows. Well, everyone except for the Women's title. That would go to Stephanie.

It's funny, I was actually thinking about Vince dying a few months ago, but not for this reason. I was actually wondering if he died and they do the traditional rememberance and 10-bell salute like they've done for others in the past, would the fans have some class or would they be total assholes and boo or cheer because he was gone.

My question is, should Vince drop dead in the middle of a show, would the show stop immediately as a sign of respect, or would the new owners, the Levesques, insist it go on because "Vince would have wanted it that way?"

(Yeah, I'm still fuckin' bitter about the Owen Hart thing. No, I won't get over it.)

As for my reaction, I'd weep, knowing that it would only get much, MUCH worse for WWe and its fans from here.

Things couldn't possibly get any worse. Stick with TNA, it is a better overall product... better yet, check out the indies.
I would love to untie your balloon knot...
