A majority of my friends are guys. It's kinda hard for females to get along w/other females because we're sp catty.......We always have to get a feel for the other chick before we can say "be my friend".....I can usually tell right away when I won't like a girl and when I can accept them & bond with them pretty quick.

Hate to jump on the bandwagon but i have about 3 friends that are girls, i know each like the back of my hand.
That being said sometimes I need a "time-out" so to speak, everything the person says, does, reacts to- pisses me the fuck off. So much to the point where i find myself becoming a bitch having to correspond or be around them. That is why i periodically(haha get it?) break myself from each of them for a couple of days.
Now to be on topic for once...I always thought that marriage was something i wanted but the way that i am now coming to terms with the generalized feel for the tradition can be summed up in one word...bullshit. Right now, in this point in time i feel there are way too many ties that come along with something that was meant to be so simple and personal between two people who share a love for eachother. I think marriages are so defunct nowadays partly has to do with all the overexposure and pressure put on the act itself.
Having to do with cheating spouses, i can't really say. I'm not a cheater and I've never been in a relationship where my partner has cheated. Maybe it has to do with fear of a good thing?....maybe the said cheater feels that eventually he/she will fail in the relationship so why not take the easy out and cheat instead of facing the fear itself and resolving the issue at hand with their partner.
Who knows?...I'm 18 and I'm never/not getting married anytime soon. People are fucked up in lots of ways but true friends represent when times get difficult.

i used to think that too. but really that's rather self destructive. there's good people and shitty people. gender is and/or should be irrrelevent.

I wish it would be irrelevent. But seriously, females are catty. Men (if they aren't gay) aren't. Females have to try to prove something. I don't. I try to accept people when I first meet them. First impressions always leave a mark.

Females may be catty, but to say guys aren't, isn't necessarily accurate. Guys are extremely competitive with each other (and not just about sports) -- I would take that as a form of cattiness.
That being said, I've also had many more guy friends than girl friends. Probably because I'm not into girlie things like shopping and getting my nails done, and I can't stand the giggly shit.

That is true. Men are catty & competetive in a different way than us.
My boyfriend- prime example. His friend tries to do everything better than him. When my boyfriend got a cool tv, his friend had to go all out and buy a better one than him. So, yeah I see what you mean.
