Anyone have a WINDOWS 98 SE UPGRADE CD? REason I ask is on my dad's PC, his IE took a crap and has all these errors now. Upon further inspection, i noticed he was still running WIN 98. I tried to upgrade from a WIN 98 SE cd, didnt work. I tried to REMOVE windows and reinstall WIN 98 SE. It wouldn't even let me remove windows. It kept giving me an error that the pc HAD a operating system and i needed an official WIN 98 SE upgrade cd.
Does anyone have one for trade, hell even borrow? I just wanna install this damn thing and be done with it. I can return it to you asap. Drop me a line at
[email protected] or you can hit me up on AIM.
Thanx in advance.

Now would be a good time for him to upgrade to XP. If he refuses, burn down his house, that'll teach him.

I would, but I'm dealing with an older guy who would NOT be able to handle XP.

Sorry, I don't have any of those disks.
Have you tried either Repairing IE or better yet completely Uninstalling and then Installing a newer version?
Not sure if that would work, but it's worth a shot.

I just downgraded from xp to me. Why? maybe I'm a massochist. Maybe my computer just couldn't handle XP. Don't discount the fact that maybe his pc is a piece of shit. What's he got?

1. make boot disk for 98 SE or download it off web.
2. format c:
3. Install Windows 98 SE
4. Done.
I upgraded from Win 98 to 98 SE. SE stinks.. I had to downgrade to 98. But now I have XP. I won't even get started with that.
