Download.trojan HELP!!!!

I deleted my quarantined viruses including this trojan virus and I no longer get the message. Dunno if it fixed it or not. Don't care.

Did you try the Rescue disks?

Not yet. Haven't had a chance yet. Plus, I started to read about them, got scared and chickened out.
If I make rescue disks, won't I end up savings the virus and then reinstalling it?

I'm not that dumb!
 I just did another virus scan. Today it doesn't have any!?! What the hell is going on?
