Has anyone else been following or at least heard of this kidnapping in North Dakota? You would think she was a national celebrity from all the press there is on it.
Don't get me wrong, I feel for her and her family but you have to wonder why she is any more special than the thousands of others in this country who are kidnapped every year.
I mean she's not the only one to have all this exposure. There have been others, but I don't understand why some are primetime news and others you never hear about.

I don't understand -- they have the guy in custody. Why can't they find her?

seriously, Flock makes an excellent point. I pondered the same thing the other day. everyday i've been following this story, but then a few nights ago i wondered, 'why do i care so much about this particular girl, people are kidnapped everyday'...............maybe its because i think shes kinda hot.

Maybe it's because it's closer to the holidays....maybe they think people care more.

Actually that was the first thought I had when I heard about it and saw her picture. I figured they were only making a big deal about it because she is a pretty, young college student.
