What I meant by 'were' was the neighbors were an old couple. The husband tried to off his wife last night and subsequently shot himself in the head. He died she didn't.
But now that I think about it the guy always gave me dirty looks for not mowing my lawn regularly. I'm a slob so deal with it. Actually I'm never home at a reasonable hour to mow the lawn while he's home all day and he mowed his regularly. I got around it it every two or three weeks. Old people have nothing better to do then sit around and notice my flaws.
Other neighbors give me dirty looks because I am living in my now dead grandmother's house. I dunno if it weirds them out that there was a little quiet old lady in there last year and this year theres me my wife and a screaming kid running around the yard. Don't they think I feel weird about living in my grandmother's house? I'm still waiting for her ghost to come around the corner and tell me to get the hell out. I can't wait to fucking move out of that house.
You should tell them to stick a banana in their tailpipe, if you know what I mean.

water in the gas tank..
toilet paper car..
tie a sign to the front of car that says "PMS Mobile". she will never see it if it is tied tight enough.
with permanent marker, write:
-woman's name- slept with -next door neighbor's husband-
that's always good.

It saddens me some, but people have become more and more insulated over the years. When I was growing up, if someone moved onto the block, you walked up and said hi and introduced yourself, and welcomed them to the block. When I moved upstate in 85, I was the one going next door to say hi to the other kids. When I moved into my apartment in 97, the most I got was a note telling me not to park too close to someones driveway.
On a side note, the permanent marker gag?? PRICELESS!!!
I'm not quite there yet

My neighbors were nice people.
Key word being 'were'
Looks like you could move next door to me.
What do you suppose I have to do to get that to happen next door to me?
Let me know when the house goes up for sale...we'll talk!
Edit: When I came home from work, her van was in her driveway....blocking it almost completely. BJ & my son were hysterical telling me how she had to try about 3 times to get her Jeep out (if the stupid bitch wouldn't block her driveway, she wouldn't have a problem!).
Anyway, we went out tonight, took BJ's car. When we came back, she had parked her Jeep where his car had been. So BJ parked his big ol' work van right smack in front of her house.
Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

I just had a visit from my local SPCA where the woman asks me about my neighbors dog. I'm thinking she's going to ask me if he lets it roam the neighborhood alone on occasion. Or I thought she was going to ask me about his 20 chickens. She asks me if I've ever seen him beat the dog...
Which I haven't so I told her no I've never seen anyhting like that. Why the hell didn't I take the opportunity to bitch and complain about zoning laws and chickens and all that bullshit? I'm so pissed off at myself right now. I'm so fucking tired of walking through chicken shit to get to my car.
I guess it's better of I kept my mouth shut because whenever I move out of this place next year the chicken man is buying this house from my uncle. Don't need any of that underlying hostilities. Mother fucker! Now I have to endure more months filled with rooster wake up calls and herds of chickens shitting all over my lawn.
:disappointed:

Frighteningly quiet next door tonight. Cars are there lights are off. I'm beginning to wonder if they came and took everyone away.

She continued to park in front of my house for awhile. Brokenjaw had a chat with her husband who acknowledged that she's a bitch like that. Part of the reason that she wasn't parking in front of her house was that there was no drainage, but she must know somebody because a couple days after Brokenjaw's chat, they came and put a sewer grate in front of her house and she's been parked in front of her house ever since.
I still don't like her though.
