Stupid things in movies that are annoying...
#1
I was just watching "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead." Now, there's something in that movie that annoys the heck out of me- and I've seen this done in other movies as well....
Why, is the boyfriend driving that stupid Clown Dog truck 24-7? They actually wrote it in the script that that truck is his way of getting around town, out side of work..amazing!
I mean- when they go on their date, that's what they drive around in! And even worse- that stupid little clown song is playing while they drive.
Now, if this was me, I wouldn't take 1 step outside my door to go anywhere near this guy. I'd be pretty embarrassed to be driving around in a truck that's representing the company the guy works for, especially Clown Dog.

Does anyone else notice stupid shit like this in movies?

I'm right on top of that Rose.

They drive around in the clown dog truck because it's funny. But as you remember she was scrubbing fat vats and he was cleaning up on her first and only day at clown dog. That was late at night. Later on when she was working for the big company he delivers clown dogs to his sister during the day. It kinda lays down the idea that he works from open til close. C'mon though, he works for Clown Dog to pay for college. Like he can afford a ride. The Clown Dog truck is all he's got.

I am really sick of those buddy cop movies. They are getting way out hand.. There is National Security with Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn, and then you have Hollywood Homocide with Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnet. That is in the past year and a half alone. . That has been done over and over again.. WE get it, there is an age difference or a race difference , and that is supposed to be funny how?? For some reason, I think those types of movies are really played out.

I'm really sick of cars chasing motorcycles in movies. I first noticed it in MI-2 and recently in Paycheck. Are they trying to tell me that a Ducati can't outrun a Hummer? come on, pisses me off.

Did you ever see Showtime w/Eddie Murphy & Robert DeNiro? I actually saw it to see how bad it would be, and man, that was horrible. Not only the storyline, but the pairing of 2 completley opposite acting styles....

Aside for some bad special effects in the motorcycle sequence I thought the whole scene was pretty cool in an artsy kinda way. And I've tried to keep up with a motorcylce on the highway. we got up to speeds over 100. In a pure handling sense the motorcycle owned me. I had to slow down. Now I wasn't in a hummer but I think it still holds up when the speeds get real high.
