i just dont understand you forget how to steal bases. guy went from being a .300 hitter who could get you 40-60 steals to completely useless and a liability defensively. what a shame. he'll probrobly go back to hitting .300, learn how to catch and steal 60 again for the cards this year. its the ex-Met syndrome.

Good riddance....Flock was saying Timo got traded too. Kinda sad to see him go cause I liked him. But, he was also not producing, and besides, it's a little crowded in Right Field. Nevermind, just saw the story about Timo.

They never shouldve traded him and Dotel to the Astros after '99 in the 1st place.

The Mets have no clue what theyre doing anymore, they need to build from the ground up much like the Twins have. Sure they probly wont get to the post season for a few years, but their young players will be able to develop into the type of players that they will need.

I like what I see so far, but I don't understand why there was such a rush to get a back up for Reyes at second when they already had one(Danny Garcia). As for the playoffs...I don't see them making it for another year or two, maybe 3rd place this year behind Philly and Atlanta.

young players are a crapshoot. reyes could be a injury prone loser who never amounts to anything. its all a gamble. do i need to mention bill pulsipher, paul wilson, escobar, etc... ?

Point taken, keep positive and hope that Reyes doesn't turn out to be like them those of the past that they tried to build the team around.
