We need a chatroom
#1
How bout it folks?? We can tool on each other and discuss pertinent things, like who's going to help Hottie move, or if 42060 is going to stop rambling, or if DIG and The Man are really closet homosexuals in love with each other.
Discuss...
I'm not quite there yet

A chat room would be cool.

AMEN!

I'd suggest it in Opus's forum, as well.

I miss the days of chat. Sad

it can even be a AIM-generated one, just for us, thru a link. doesn't have to be fancy.

Yes.

It'd be like only seeing header and topper tweak each others dicks all day, whenver you log in. And seeing 23 guests, and 4 registered users, online all the time. It would completely drain all the life out of the board.

Whatever would we do?

I say again...............I think it would rock. And could inspire more traffic, and interaction.

Just my 2 Canadian cents. Which is basically nothing, with the exchange rate.

Any schmo can create an IRC channel. Good enough program, you can kick, ban, ignore, and mod within the channel.

If a code fellow can attach it, it's easy as pie to get going.

In my experience though, yes, it will hurt the board.

well, which is it?

incase you forgot when you said that, its from my thread in the mod forum about starting a chat room last november, when everybody told me it was a bad idea.

i'm gonna start calling your Toronto F. Kerry

Why can't you "chat" on the message board? Anybody remember chat threads?

chat threads are lame...when they are meant to be it and don't happen naturally.

chatting, since most of us are on AIM anyway...well, makes more sense.

But what can you talk about in AIM that you can't talk about here?

And what if you don't know everybody's AIM S/N?

And what if polar bears' toenails are hotter than you think?

I thought the chat threads were cool. Sure, when forced they sucked and regardless of how good they were someone always complained, but I always enjoyed them.
