The IT mood isn't really a big deal. Anyone could be smarter than this guy.

A year and a half ago they brought us a new printer (well it was a used piece of shit but anything they bring over extra is golden to us). I asked the guy to put it on the network. He wanted me to hook it to my computer and share it because putting it on the network would 'require obtaining a new ip address and that's kind of hard'. I shrugged it off because I don't have access to our server.

Flashforward to last week when we brought in the highly touted (outsourced) IT guy. While fixing the internet problems he mentioned the password he uses for everything. THe following day I logged onto the server with said password and hooked up the printer to the network in under two minutes. Yahoo for me. It was really difficult.

The password was the name of his company. I should've known as I already tried the highly used passwords: 'password' and 'admin'. I knew it was something stupid. We don't use anything other than stupid passwords here.
