I bought gas this morning for $1.91. We saw it over the weekend for $1.89, and on my way home from the ever-dreaded mall, I saw Hess for $1.87.
That's all well and good if you are okay with putting Regular in your vehicle.
By the way Moosey, I don't know if it helps you at all, but the $1.89 was at the Wawa right near the 33/34 circle.
I bought my SUV (Mazda Tribute) -- which is actually considered a mini-SUV (and for insurance purposes, a station wagon) in November for several reasons. My 1998 Sunfire was starting to have trouble, my 13-year-old son is almost 6' tall and having problems squishing himself in the back, and it was useless for transporting stuff.
It is nice to ride higher, but there are plenty of vehicles that ride higher than me. I also don't assume that just because a vehicle is smaller that it will yield.
And yeah, I don't think I've used my 4-wheel drive yet -- but I couldn't get my vehicle without it.
