i want the mets to continue losing until the ownership is forced to put a team capable of beating the yankees on the field and not become lulled into some false sense of competitiveness.

met fans who are excited about this team are doing themselves a disservice. you are appeasing an ownership that wants to spend just enough money to take your hard earned money and cares nothing about WINNING.

even though I'm a Yankee fan, I agree with this statement 100% - if they had a competitive team, it would make the Subway Series a lot more enjoyable - and exciting.
