Looking for movie ideas this weekend.

OK, maybe someone here wil know what movie this is, it's been bugging me for years. When I was about 5 (which is 21 years ago) I watched a movie at a friends house that scared the shit out of me, and I have no idea what it was. It may not even be that scary of a movie, I was 5 after all. All I remember of the movie is a bunch of kids on a bus that broke down. And some sort of creature, zombies maybe, hugging them to possess them, and then the kids went home and were all fucked up, trying to hug their parents. Something sorta like that. Anyone know what the hell I could be thinking of?
