My ex-sister-in-law used to live across the street from Orthodox Jews. Their daughter cut her hand/arm really badly one Saturday (??) and they couldn't pick up the phone to call 911, so they had to bang on the window until someone noticed and called for them.
Pretty dumb if you ask me.
My old boss was observant. Only ate kosher food...couldn't watch tv on the Sabbath...couldn't have sex til he was married.
So before sundown on Fridays, he'd put the tv on a good channel and leave it on. He also was a big fan of blowjobs.
So much for observant.
