anyhoo - exactly. great point. About a week ago I was sweating an issue of mine but then I reminded myself just how insignificant that "issue" was. It has since failed to perturb me.
Hate to bring up THAT day but 9/11 really opened my eyes about certain things...about how I chose to care about certain things and not enough about the IMPORTANT things.
That day changed me.
The very lesson of not sweatin' the "small stuff" was etched forever into my being.
It never took much to rile me up, piss me off or upset me...not anymore. I mean, I slip into old habits once in a while - they are hard to break, these habits however...the value of looking for the positive, that I will forever hold on to.
I come from a family where one side is/was quite pessimistic. I guess I had learned some bad habits growing up along the way...
but, thats the beauty of maturity. You can see that you are who you choose to be. You learn at some point that you see what you choose to see ("half empty", "half full", "I don't care") and you alone choose HOW you plan on seeing/dealing with it.
*edit* I never answer THE question - Yes. I am happy. I have a lot to be thankful for.
