As for this whole gay thing, I could care less if they were born that way or if they learned it. Everyone has a right to live their life however they see fit.
This school thing though is a stupid idea in my opinion. More specifically I focus on this one statement made in that article.

\"Everybody feels that it's a good idea because some of the kids who are gays and lesbians have been constantly harassed and beaten in other schools and this lets them get an education without having to worry,\" Mayor Michael Bloomberg told reporters at his daily briefing on Monday.

How do homosexuals plan on surviving in the real world, if they shelter themselves from it throughout their high school years? This is the life they lead and this is who they are. The sooner they face what a majority of society thinks of them, the easier the transition will be. Instead they will come out of this high school thinking the world is a beautiful place and it's not.

Yes, they are entitled an education like everyone else and maybe this is an easier way for them to achieve that, but once that's over no one will cater to them again. The sooner they learn that, the better off they'll be.
