My boyfriend and I bought matching switchblades...
Actually, I strived to be a nerd. I faked a foot problem to get orthopedic shoes and I got glasses. I wanted braces but my teeth were perfectly straight and the dentist wouldn't recommend it.
I used to part my hair straight down the side with bangs and wear plaid skirts with ugly vests. I wore skippy sneakers or the plastic water sandals when not in school.
I never really cared what anyone thought of me, so no one ever bothered to pick on me.
In high school, I was either totally village and bought my stuff at urban outfitters or unique or thrift shops or totally thug and wore timberland boots and triple fat goose jackets.
I think kids pick up on fear, like animals. If you want acceptance they'll make you work for it.
I was born with the "I do not give a fuck" mentality.
