That draft time sounds fine for me.
What I was talking about protecting, though, was the guy who's all in, but maybe has a day job. So, he's not up at 4am when that potential 5th starter gets dropped, or, he's not able to check his email/web until after work to notice that a backup catcher is now available.
Even a minimal 24-hour waiver doesn't alienate that guy, makes it fair, and doesn't unduly burden the "on top of the game" types who're waiting.
Bottom line point, though, is that there should be equal categories on both sides of the ball. 5x5, 6x6, or 7x7... otherwise, again, pitching becomes significantly differently valuable than hitting.

1) all my leagues since i started playing FF about 7 years ago have never had waivers. to me it was always the fastest to the punch got it. this may mean i miss out on some guys, but if i am REALLY on top of the league i dont want to have to wait to see if some half assed guy in last place wants him before me. if the general consensus is that its wanted id add it.

Quote:3) the reason i added walks is for guys like bonds who get walked half their at bats. the fantasy owner shouldnt suffer bc half the league wont pitch to him. ill get rid of OBP. as far as holds, i figured i would add it bc this way a setup guy might have some value. i have no issue getting rid of hits. again, like all my leagues, if more people want stuff changed, just speak up and it should be taken care of pretty quickVery reasonable thoughts.
