I thought the chat threads were cool. Sure, when forced they sucked and regardless of how good they were someone always complained, but I always enjoyed them.

they were ok...but when they became the ONLY thing going on, then it was a problem. many threads become chatty on ymb at times, or get back on topic..so i see no problems.
