The first thing the cocksucker tells me when he gets there is since this is a new apartment and the contractor did all the wiring and whatnot Comcast can't be responsible for any signal strength issues.
As if 100 feet of cable is going to fuck up the signal any worse than it is after the cable company splits it six ways off of their one cable.
As for the router, my normal tech checklist for myself includes unpluggin all router connections and hooking up one computer directly to the modem to see if that works. If not then I call tech. Who then runs down the same stupid list of suggestions to which I say "mmhmm" after each one, then they can shut up and listen to my problem.
If you're first suggestion is going to be to unplug the modem and reboot your computer hell I could work tech support.
