Something I've never given much thought towards, but maternity leave works how?
Is that just an unpaid leave of absence, or is there some time of package employers are required to give a mother to be? To me that's a temporary disability that involves the lives of 2 people. Just makes sense to me that some sort of benefits package would be inplace to compensate a women for that downtime, so she doesn't have to work 40 hours a week 2 weeks before delivering.
If that's not the way it works, it doesn't suprise me at all. Just doesn't seem right.
