I think it all depends on your situation.
Sometimes, you may have this but secretly wished you had that instead. You may be glad you have that because this isn't any better. But sometimes, this is all you'll have in life and sometimes that's enough. Then again, they say that it could always be worse, you could have end up with this instead. I rather have something or other instead. Seems it's the safest way to go.
