Veering off course, but hey, who cares? Let's blame it on the lazy mod who runs this forum.
Fuck it, I was the author of this thread and this time I don't mind.
I don't exactly remember, how did Russ die anyway?

Heart disease. He had a heart attack several months prior to his death, and was just days away from being cleared by his doctor to return to the ring when he passed on. As far as I know, drugs did
not play a role in neither the heart attack nor his death.

And of course, knowing how responsible the media is, there is NO WAY they'd lump this in with Pillman/Rude/etc. down the road.
It's getting to the point where if a third-stringer XFL player commits mass murder, Vince will be blamed.

I don't know what they have planned for Zack, but the one thing I would do is have a heel win the belt and have Zack become a contender, then have the heel challenge that he shouldn't be considered a cruiserweight because if he had his other leg he'd be over the weight limit.
And on the side note, Haas of Pain, baby!!!
I also saw the Haas Brothers wrestle in JAP and even trained with them a few times. Russ and Charlie together were about 10 times better then Charlie with Shelton. And I already see them grooming Charlie for greater things.

I agree the whole Zack thing is stupid but any guy who gets up after being flung around like a rag doll has my respect.

Well, I don't want to pass full judgement yet on the kid because he was in the ring with the Big Shithole and that fat fuck can make anyone look bad.
That said, watching Zach move wasn't as impressive as many have made it out to be. I kept hearing how fast he is, but watching him hop around I'm saying to myself, "You call that fast?"
I'll wait until he has some real competition until I pass full judgement, but from what I saw last night I wasn't impressed.

The novelty wore off in one crappy match, and him hopping around was kind of distracting. And his drop kicks were only up to about the waist.
I might be over critical, but when it's my hard earned money that pays for this, I expect the best.

Hey,
It's quite obvious that this stick-figure of a human being had to blow VINCE himself to get even this far in this waste of air-time on a show that's already seen better days, and when even RAW is getting higher ratings than SMACKDOWN is. :cool2:

I attribute that to Trips' huge, yet largely unknown, extended family, each of whom has their own Nielsen rating meter.
Either that, or fans are just fucking idiots.
