Well for you Mets fans out there, this is a move Im sure many of you will love. Now if they can get rid of Cedeno and Vaughn and half their pitching staff, things would be almost perfect.
This is the report from ESPN
It's pretty long and boring so heres the summary:
"NEW YORK -- The New York Mets traded second baseman Roberto Alomar to the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday for three prospects.
New York received minor league pitchers Royce Ring and Edwin Almonte and infielder Andrew Salvo. The Mets will pay about $3.75 million of his remaining salary for this season, with the White Sox paying about $150,000."

Well when i saw the preview on the news last night (they didnt say who it was until the sports portion of the show) i was hoping it woulda been Benitez. LOL you shoulda heard my little brother, he hates Piazza so he kept saying , "Please be Piazza, please be Piazza."
Alomar did jack shit for the Mets and im happy to see him go.

Now if he tears it up in Chicago then we know what this guy was all about. I never liked him anyway, especially after he hocked that loogey on the ump in Baltimore a few yrs back.

i hope they unload as much payroll as possible and pick up vlad in the offseason.

They can unload all the payroll in the world but I still dont think theyre picking up Vlad. I mean, they didnt throw money at A-Rod who is a much better player then Vlad, so why would they throw it at Vlad?
