One reason for the crappy writing

from gamespot.com referring to the new WWE PS2 game:

WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain will be the first game in the series to feature a story mode created exclusively by WWE writers. Details of the storyline are being kept under wraps at present, but THQ has revealed that it will incorporate both fictitious story paths and classic WWE moments.

Maybe they should concentrate on the actual wrestling product instead of a freakin video game.



BTW--Can we have the regular video game story writers back? They were doing a much better job.

I hope they throw the Katie Vick storyline in there. That'd be funny as hell if they incorporated bad storylines for wrestlers who are going against Triple H. First you can start with the Katie Vick storyline, then morph into the racist storyline with Booker T & then into the pose-downs & arm wrestling matches against Big Poppa Pump!

How about the fun Battle of the Water Spits with RVD? No game would be complete without that!

I personally can't wait for this game just for the fact that some of the "greats" of WWF past will be included. The rest will be the same damn game it's probably been the last 2 years.
