It's not a belief I wish I held. Hell, I wish people weren't ignorant and apathetic. But I can't lie to myself. I see power being usurped in this country, the Constitution being trivialized, dissent being squashed, and it goes largely ignored by most and supported by many. I see people who want the government to coddle and baby them, but then they're the ones who cry out the loudest when taxes are raised to fund the programs they demand. I see that as a sad state of affairs. I don't see how that's liberalism.
