Anyway, the way I see it, Reloaded was supposed to leave you asking questions... questions that would be answered in Revolutions. Like why Neo would have powers in the supposed \"real\" world, or how Agent Smith could actually get out of the Matrix and into a person.... the accepted answer so far is that the \"real world\" is actually just another layer built into the Matrix, to give people a choice, let them get out if they want to. Cause why would they try to get out if they think they're already out?
Yeah, but the Oracle assisting Neo to destroy Smith instead of just hitting the global reset button and taking Smith down too?

I am going on the 15th up at the Palisades Mall. But before it I will be going to the outback steakhouse to have some meat, and after I will be going to Stilettos in West Nyack.
So the movie can suck ass, I'm going to be looking at 40 pussies by the end of the night so all is good.
And what people forget is that the first one was pretty much shot as a stand alone movie, and then when it did well in the after market, they worked to connect the first one to the other 2. I was a little dissapointed in the 2nd one because I kind of drifted off during the Oracle and the Architect scenes. Everyone tole me that those 2 scenes made the movie and that kind of pissed me off. Why are 10 minutes going to be the be all end all for a 180 minute movie?
Then I went and watched the movie on DVD with the subtitles and it made more sense, but it is no where near what the original Star Wars Trilogy was.

Hosp, Star Wars is a body of work spanning over 6 Chapters (actually 9 but we'll only see six of them in film) so thus/then "Star Wars" the COMPLETE "Star Wars" is NOT a trilogy. It is a SAGA.
So, comparisons between the SW Saga and the Matrix trilogy is lacking...me thinks.
Also, where did you read that the Matrix was done as a stand alone movie? From what I've read about it, the Wachowski Bros wrote a trilogy initially. Tey did know though that thier movie was a risk for the most part with no telling of how successful it would be hence, the hesitation at first to start right away on the entire trilogy. However, after witnessing the kind of critical acclaim and box office draw of the first act, it was a no-brainer. I will look for links supporting this.
Sloats, the Oracle doesn't want to press the "global reset button" because first of all, thats not within her power and secondly, she wishes to see man and machine peacefully co-exist. (as per her meeting with Neo on the playground bench)

I don't believe so. The Oracle is the one who created the rat maze, the out for the 1%, the toy to keep the 1% amuzed. But of course, this whole theory is shot if the "Real World" is not another computer program...... Then the movie series is less dark and sucks. Just a glorified Kung-fu movie.

what are you talking about? Where does she mention that she "created" anything within the Matrix?
and what "rat maze" are you talking about?

and rest asssured, Zion is within the Matrix...otherwise, why would Agent Smith be so intent on trying to get into the "Zion mainframe"? (as per his interrogation of Morpheus, Act I)

The "Rat Maze" is just an idea or analogy of the Matrix. Those who are not satisfied with the Matrix, you keep them entertained by giving them different level of reality. In essence putting a rat in a maze and let him run around and keep itself entertained.

this still doesn't implicate her as the "creator" of anything. True, the oracle, unlike Daddy (aka The Architect) is indeed "pro human" and she does hope that Neo succeeds...
However...
She does not have the power to create anything, she only has "The Sight". The architect is the sole creator, the one who yearns to have a perfect system, and that hasn't happened yet (5 times destroyed actually...currently on the 6th go-around) because of The Anomoly. Daddy sees the anomoly as a threat to his perfect creation/rendition of his Matrix whereas Mommy sees Neo as the only chance to change things and open up a world where man and machine can peacefully co-exist.

I was seeing the Oracle as a pseudo friendly program, much like the recruiter in 1984.

I believe that in the "machine world" you have programs like the Architect and Agent Smith that are all about the machines itself and then there are programs like the Oracle and the Keymaster who are sincerely sympathetic to "the cause" aka "the prophecy"
You even have programs like Persiphony (who is so effin HOT by the way...) who are almost "down the middle" in a sense, sympathetic but also is loyal to its "machine roots". She betrays her counter-program long enough to help Neo get the Keymaster but not enough to help them all escape.
So yeah, in conclusion, I think the Oracle will not betray Neo the way the Recruitor did in 1984.
