Matrix Revolutions
#21
DAMN YOU! I have spent the past two hours reading other peoples opinions on the Oracle, spoilers, the fact that Seraph, the Gold Asian, can only be found out by playing the damn game...

I was really looking to some dark 1984 system of control, instead it looks like there are programs who want humans to live and survive outside of the program: sort of like vegans/Environmentalists/PETAs who are happy to risk Human lives so that the sources of their nurishment and other necessities would be protected.

Boy the way Glen Miller played,
songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!

hey man, I could be wrong.

Wink

food for thought... EVERYONE within the matrix is controlled by the Matrix except for "The One"..

so...Morpheus, Trinity...all still in some part connected to the Matrix. They are freer than most as seen by their abilities but still, they are programs designed to help Neo find his way, fulfill his destiny.

Perhaps the Matrix created them after the first or second reboot to better isolate the anomoly, learn more about what makes him/her/it tick...install a "father figure" program like Morpheus and a loving, nuturing figure in Trinity to better understand the emotional capacities that completely aid the Anomaly in his abilities.

His human will, imagination and spirit is what makes him stronger than any program. His capacity for "hope" & "love", things the Architect is convinced is nothing more than a weakness, is what gives Neo the "x factor". It helps Neo dodge the Agent Smith proclaimed "inevitablity" of Neo falling at his hands or at the hands of the Matrix itself in general.

again, just food for thought.

I can't wait for tommorrow.

I have such a feeling that none of you guys are right....and the final conclusion to this trilogy is so going to suck.

It always happens though.....you all over analyze the movie over and over, constantly offering and challenging each others theory that the final ending is going to come as such a downer to all of us.

as much as I throw out my ideas into threads such as this, I still hold on to the notion that it can ALL be wrong...

it's fun to hypothesize...I actually hope that I AM wrong and that the conclusion is even better/greater than what we have all conjured up.

Its not like I want to be right....but it would be cool though if I was. I'm actually prepared to see Neo die at the end...with all the Jesus-like analogies already thrown out there, why not?

you can't judge Reloaded as a stand-alone film. It's Act II of a 3 Act play/story...it's supposed to leave you feeling "incomplete"...leave you witrh questions and such...its what good Act II's do.

Just like Empire Strikes Back.

look at it this way:

Act I - all about birth.

Act II - all about life

Act III - all about DEATH. (according to some articles I've read over the weekend...sunday papers)

trust me, I too inside have a slight fear that the Wachowskis might screw it all up but so far, I really have a hard time convincing myself that they are absolutely going to...so far, its quite a story and I can't help but be excited to see how it all ends.
