I have vacation time coming up next month and have no idea where to go. I'm figuring some place in a warmer climate and would easily lend itself to a good time since I am going alone. So far my ideas have been Vegas and New Orleans(even though I'm thinking possibly do Vegas now and NO around Mardi Gras). I've only gone on two trips solo - one was to visit a friend and another was almost a quasi-business trip (baseball job fair).
So my question is what are some good trip ideas to do solo? If you've ever gone on a trip yourself, where was it to and why did you decide on there?

I went to Vegas back in July and had a great time. Hit most of the casinos just to check them out. The temp was like 105+ in the afternoon and low to mid 80's at night. No humidity. We stayed at the Stratosphere and the rooms were pretty nice for the price ($45-50 a night) The only drawback to being there is it is at the northern end of the strip so you have to take a cab to get just about anywhere. Never been to NO so I really can't say much about it.
I'm not quite there yet

i posted a better reply than this but ie fucked up bah...but here goes:
vegas - frontrunner - checking prices and deals abound
other options i've considered:
visiting best friend from college in dallas - but i'm sure he has stuff going on and plus i mean it's dallas.
out of the country since i've never been - costa rica, italy, and london have crossed my mind.
