This was in response to your cop-projects analogy, in which it appeared to me that you were saying that Saddam Hussein was somehow allied with the Kurds. Now maybe that wasn't your intention, and if it wasn't, then the label of ignorance does not suit you in this particular case. Just a case of you not being very well spoken.

I linked (without comment) to a radio interview with the journalist who originally broke the story of Saddam being captured by the Kurds. Did you even listen to it? But hey, I understand, when you don't like the message, shoot the messenger! Oh no, they're saying things I don't agree with! Obviously they have an agenda and are disreputable! We were over this, but OK. The Iranian confirms he was arrested. Wow. There's a scoop and a half, huh? Do you think it was possible that we notified the tribal leaders before we notified the press? I think it was probable. Still doesn't say that the Kurds got him, just that he was got.

I'll just note here that nowhere in this thread did I say that it's been <i>proven</i> that the Kurds captured Saddam before handing him over. I think it's probably true, the evidence seems point in that direction, but nowhere did I even imply that this is anything more than informed speculation right now. The only thing that can be proven right now is that he's been captured and is currently in US custody.

Maybe it's this ignorance you keep talking about but...I don't see where this fantastic source of yours says that the Kurds caught him, drugged him and left him for the Americans. Maybe it's my reading comprehension, I dunno.

Reading comprehension is definitely suspect, as is your ability to draw logical conclusions from the information available, it would seem. And again, I will direct you to the interview I linked. It's about an hour long and the reporter who broke the story goes into great detail in explaining how she got the information, and what (allegedly) really happened. If she's lying, she's certainly very good at it.

Again, there's nothing CREDIBLE to the story. Not a scintilla of proof. I keep asking and asking but you never seem to provide proof just some guy in Iran stating the obvious about what happened in Iraq. Stick your your guns, rant and rave irrationally that those durn Kurds got him and stamp your feet that this country is evil and lies all the time. There is no proof whatsoever, in any way shape or form that Saddam Hussein was capture by the Kurds. None. Nada. Zero. Zilch.

Let me say that again - There is no proof, nothing even remotely offered. Empirically, one would have to logically assume that the claims that the Kurds caught Saddam is false. What other logical conclusion could you POSSIBLY make? Remove any agenda from the issue, remove any political affiliation and what is there? Nothing. It NEVER happened.

I am simply tired of explaining this. It's really quite simple. You believe whatever you wish to. I'll make my decisions based on fact.
