(but, if you really wanna know Ladddy: Whenever uttering that magical phrase, my friend and I do that thing with our thumb & pointer finger and pretend-hold the invisible joint to our lips as we say "Hey, you wanna, you know, doot-dah-doo?")

That's neat.
But my version of "dooty-doo" comes from the root word "Duty-Free" which was how we refered to a lazy co-worker of ours.
Since then, everytime we encounter someone who's either lazy, unintelligent, inactive or just plain flabby chinned...we refer to them as "Dooty-Doo's"
