Yeah, blame him because you've spent a majority of your life at McDonalds.

Dare I ask what trying to avoid a temper tantrum has to do with the fact that I ate too much fast food and got fat?

Speaking of fast food...I have to go to McDonald's at 3 tomorrow for a "sit down" with my son, the kid he beat up today, and the kid's father. Yay for me. It's about fuckin time the kid stood up for himself, but I don't wanna go!!

I dunno. All I know is my son is suspended for 5 days, as is the other kid. The school called the parents of the other kid, but no one called me. Tonight, the kid's father called my house to ask if we could "get the boys together and try to get to the bottom of this so they can be friends again." I'm friggin mortified...not that my son finally stood up for himself, but that I have to go sit with the other kid (who has a black eye and a cut under his eye) and his father.

So is this like some sort of peace accord?

I guess so. Sucks being on the other side of it though.

I don't know if it sounds cleaverish or new ageish either way it sounds silly to me. I used to get in fights with my best friends all the time and the next day we were best friends again. Black eyes and all. No peace accords required.

They're not best friends, although they were friends at one point, because we took the kid to the Blueclaws game with us last year.. And it seems like an awful lot of kids in my son's school pick on him. He seems to be the kid that all the other kids pick on. I guess he picked today to stand up for himself. I dunno. I don't think it will change anything, and the boyfriend thinks it's absolutely retarded, but what could I say?
