Exactly.

MEATHEAD, why don't you go outside and suck a couple to save your precious Dolphins?

Meathead was the cock-smoker.

Archie wasn't bothering anyone! He just wanted to sit in his favorite chair and not be bothered with anyone. I feel for him, look at all he had to deal with. His wife with her annoying voice, the only time she should have opened her yap was to give ole Arch a piper. His liberal, tree hugging daughter who would later balloon up and eat a third world country out of house and home. Meathead, another one who would balloon up and make bad movies like North. Give the man a break!

culture??

my ass!

the only good that came out of that show was the Jeffersons spin-off. And please, spare me the "it was an important satire" arguement.

I KNOW what the show was worth at the time - doesn't change the fact that I hated that potato-eatin' douchenozzle.

and that wife...that fuckin' voice of hers could drive me to stab small oriental children, swear to gawd.

Fuck that show in its goat ass. Fuck it balls deep.

Heathen!! George Jefferson wasn't good enough to carry Archie's 3 day old skid mark riddled underwear.

Does it matter any that the George Jefferson character was an exact copy of the Archie Bunker character? Except the obvious skin tone difference and the subsequent changes in dialogue to fit that?

All in the Family had 4 main characters but no heroes. Everyone had to lose. Everyone was a fucking idiot. What a great concept.

Ya know, thats a fair and solid point.

I guess its an issue of who I was more readily able to identify with back then.

however, in the Jeffersons defense - there was enough tv back then that solely cater to "dah white folk"...see what I'm getting at?

Ultimately though, touche' good sir - both were indeed bigotted characters.
