A's acquire Guillen, does this put them over the top?

Oakland A's trade for Red's outfeilder Jose Guillen

Yep. A's picked up Guillen who is a tremendous player, especially this year. He's batting .337 with 23 dingers and 63 ribby's. Oaklands outfield was good enough with Terrence Long, Erubial Durazo, and Eric Byrnes. Now they have the bat of Jose Guillen, whos really breaking out this season. So does anyone think this is enough to put the A's over the top and give them the ability to topple the Mariners for first in the AL West or topple Boston for the wildcard spot. Either way, i think theyre making the playoffs. So the REAL question is does anyone think this is enough to give the A's enough power to topple the....Yankees?

Erubiel Durazo is not an outfielder. And even if he was, that would still make up the worst outfield in that division.

I am speaking as a long time Oakland fan (used to live there) and I still don't think this is enough to catch the Mariners but it will be enough to over pass Boston because August is coming up soon and this is "Sox losing streak month". But as far as best outfield goes, that all depends if the Janquis buy Giles or not...
