the metropolitan areas tend to have more people, so of course there'll be more crime, but per capita crime rates in nyc for example have been dropping. what you seem to be ignoring is the fact that these metro areas also tend to have more colleges. look at florida, mostly went for bush, except in broward, dade and west palm where most of the businesses are and then there's gainesville and tallahassee, where people are going to college and educating themselves.

Some of the dumbest people I know are college graduates.
you debate like a 5 year old girl.
...and you fuck like one.
oooh! you got me there!
I wasn't sure if I did or not.
But your reply left me with no doubt that I did.

i bow to your verbal mastery. i could never argue on your level.
Sir O Wrote:Again, you're not making sense. New York City, with a crime rate of 2,973, comes out way ahead of the entire states of Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Utah. The few cities in these mostly rural states are all red, and in fact, these four states combined produced just 2 blue counties (suburban NE Kansas outside KC). Yet each and every one of these states has a higher crime rate than New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Newark, Jersey City, Pittsburgh, Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego - all big cities, all blue.

Your entire argument is without merit.
I'm still waiting for Hoon's response to this, or at least an admission that he was talking out of his ass.
Come on, anyone can manipulate numbers to achieve the desired outcome any way they want. Whether it supports my opinion or yours.

Election day exit polls should've taught you that.

Oh my God. How is someone supposed to respond to that? You claim all these statistics as proof of your point, it's proved that you are completely wrong in everything you say, and your response is "well statistics can be manipulated"?

That's it? You are 100% wrong. Not even debatable. You don't think to reevaluate your opinion, or assumptions? You just dismiss the statistics you that cited as your reason?
Galt,
I can find a site right now that says it can prove Bush was in the Skull & Bones clan and that the Israeli's flew the planes into the WTC with big remote controllers.

...and yes, I do use some statistics but if you read my last comment you'll see I clearly explained one can find statistics to prove anyone's point, including mine.

you lost. it wasnt even close. move on.
So you are basically saying your statistics are worthless?
Yes. Most statistics are.
Pahlease. Are you guys telling me people can't and don't manipulate statistics, polls etc. bith ways to support their ideas? Whether it be leaving out essential facts or exaggerating small ones?

If not, then you wear your blindfolds well.
I think you have water on the brain.
I would hope so since most of the human body is made up of water.
Or are you going to throw out some statistic from Rolling Stone Magazine proving it isn't..

Just kidding, man.
Hey, if your statistics are true then I take back my initial assumption and offer my apologies.
I'm just pointing out that most statistics are manipulated to support a biased opinion, especially on the web. Even mine.
statistics are not completely worthless. they dont tell the whole truth but they are very useful especially when you use an appropriate sample size.
Agreed and source is of the information is also vital.
Some bitterly partisan sources are not above fudging numbers for either side.

Infowars and prisonplanet are notorious for this.

Do you consider The FBI bitterly partisan?
No, I find them well dressed.
