Out of these, I'd say definitely try to catch To Have and Have Not, Rosemary's Baby, High Noon, The 49th Parallel, The Big Sleep, and Double Indemnity.

The original, I've never actually seen it, I just put it up here based on reputation. It stars Spencer Tracy, so it can't be that bad...
One of the best of Film Noir genre is Out of the Past. Great movie, don't miss it...unless you are sleeping at 4am on a Saturday. I wish I had tivo so I could watch it again. Double Indemnity is also a great one.

AMC is showing Stalag 17 and The Third Man later this month. They're also showing Scream 2 and Final Analysis (WTF?).

TCM's schedule is fucking awesome this week, but the rest of the month looks pretty dull overall.

i loved that movie & used to watch it all the time.
One thing that I always noticed in those old movies is that the dialogue seems unnaturally rushed. I don't really know how to explain it. It just always reminded me that the actors were working off a script. They were in a rush to get their lines out, so as soon as another actor finished their lines, they'd spit out theirs. It just seems so amateur, like you'd see in a high school play.

PS. Lauren Becall was very masculine looking,
