i pulled the ripcord too soon. the guy strapped to my back told me when he shows me the altimeter to pull, and i did but it was about 3,000 feet too soon.

it was a pretty amazing experience but i think i would enjoy it much more the next time. i was too scared shitless to really be able to take it all in.
Did you show him your poll since you had so much extra time on the way down?
we spooned.
So, he showed you HIS pole.
i didnt see it, but i sure felt it

All into enemy occupied territory with hot LZs and set ambushes too!
I did a 60-second freefall (I think it was from 14,000 feet) a few years ago after New Year's 2000 in Davis, CA. But I was retarded and since I was going to "California", all I packed was tshirts. So I jumped wearing a tshirt, from 14,000 just north of San Fran.

it was fucking freezing. That's what I remember most. It was damn cold.
yeah it was pretty cold up there, even though it was a fairly warm day. my freefall should have lasted 60 seconds but my instructor confused me and when he pulled the altimeter to my face, i took it to mean to pull the shoot, so we deployed at 8,000 instead of 5,000 feet. we dropped from 15,000 feet. it was pretty wild, plummeting to earth at 120 mph.
The concept of snow on mountain tops didn't give you guys any clue to the fact that it is cold up there?
i knew it was going to be cold up there, i'm just trying to tell a fucking story. jeez.
