hehe
What effect did the 1946 bombing have in the formation of modern Israel?

and terrorism is and always will be the method employed by the have nots against the haves.

The U.S.:
wasn't the Boston Tea Party Terrorism?
Wasn't the Indian Warfare we employed against the current rules of engagement?
Even today both the right and left employ it.

the bombing of Planned Parenthood offices, and Greenpeace and other activists on the left.
ken, everyone that i've seen on tv discussing this matter says that desperate people, almost never resort to terrorism, except the palestinians.

ARE YOU FUCKING HIGH???

But it must be desperate and oppressed.
Like Northern Ireland, there must be a foreign oppressor at hand to rebel against. Just being desperate is not grounds for terrorism.
What about Afghanastan when the Russians were occupying them?
the French resistance of WWII (ok forget that one).
did they have people blowing themselves up? northern ireland sends car bombs and the like, but they don't blow themselves up in the process. except for al quida, the afgahns don't go around blowing themselves up. are you following my pattern??
Yes,
They are religious zealots with nothing,
the promise of a good afterlife exceeds their current status so much that they are willing to go on suicide missions.
Is the concept of zealots dying that new?
zealots no, but most zealots are older people. these suicide bombers are in their teens and 20's. if blowing yourself up brings you to paradise, then why aren't the clerics doing it? it's a crime against humanity to terrorize children which is exactly what this is. they're corrupting youth, how can anyone amount to anything is their goal is to die by 25?
My point is, and always has been, that BOTH sides are wrong. BOTH sides have done some pretty horrible stuff. And extremists on BOTH sides are trying to turn this situation to their advantage.

So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the fireworks. I'm taking bets on how long before the Arab states invade Isreal and force them to use their nukes. 2 to 1 odds it's before the decade is over. After all, Isreal's "unofficial" policy has always been that they'll nuke the holy land down to a sheet of radioactive glass before they'll allow anyone to take it from them. The policy is named after a mountain a bunch of ancient Isrealites held till they all died of starvation. Can't remember the name right now.
Quote:it's a crime against humanity to terrorize children which is exactly what this is.
And bulldozing a childs home with a military tank because you believe you have a right to occupy a land that you don't recognize as a soverign state doesn't terrorize that child.

We can at least agree to disagree that both sides are 100% in the wrong. The only comprimise is one side needs to give on the reasonable demand of the other. One side wants to live in peace, the other side wants to live in peace in their own land, their own nation. Is that all that unreasonable? One side needs to give and it is the side that refuses to part with land until they are all dead. If they don't give in, they will all be dead.
dent the name of the mountain is masada. and 30 jews commit siucide there instead of having to convert, that's why they've named the operation after them. israel won't nuke themselves, other countries, probably, but not they're own country.
oas, i was very against giving land for "peace" because the other side only has to say they will recognize israel, that's all they have to do. who's to say that they'll keep their half of the bagin. as it is, a vast majority of arab civilians would like nothing more than another holocaust. as part of the oslo accords, the plo was supposed to take out their hatred for the jews from the school books, that has not been done, which is part of the problem that fueled the current war. if israel would get out of the territories, why would you think that the palestinians would stop their hatred of the jews. this problem didn't start in 1967, or even 1948, it's been going on for hundreds of years. as soon as everyone wakes up and realizes this, we can settle the real problem.
that masada was a great mini series.

and destroying the walls of jericho with the horn, that's terrorism right?
Quote:and destroying the walls of jericho with the horn, that's terrorism right?
no ken, that was the work of god!!
god is a terrorist?
Oh yeah, he did the tower of Babble and the salt pillers right?

and the flood thing right? right?

i didn't say that god was a terrorist, i said that we made the walls of jerich fall when they blew the horn. walls don't just fall from a horn!!
CT I realize the problem is thousands of years old but it must be settled or we all loose. As wacky as it sounds, I believe for the first time in my life (insert old jokes here) we are at the brink of armageddon (sp). I do not suggest that I am anymore knowledgeable then the next person as to the source of the problem and I do not share the pain that you and your realitives probably have suffered over this. The fact is, something has to give and the give, in my opinion, needs to come from Isreal. I know that won't happen and for humanities sake, that is a shame. You can't rid people of hatred, but if you give people something where they can start to believe in themselves, the healing process can begin. If the Palestinians are given a country, do you believe they will continue to blow themselves up and continue to kill Jews? Do you really believe they will?
So how did this Israel/Palestine thing turn out? It's over right?
Palestine won in OT with a 3 point nuke at the buzzer.

It's starting to make sense now. Nostradoms was right. Osama Bin Ladin is the anti-christ and he's about to rise to full power when Arafat dies.

Just read the article. The arab governments are seen by their people has powerless and ineffective becasue they can't stop Isreal. One set of protestors were marching with Bin Ladin's picture.

So, when Arafat dies, Bin Ladin will be the loudest voice for Jihad and rally all the people, who will overthrow the existing autocratic ("benevolent" dictatorship) governments and put all the resources in Bin Ladin's hands. Bin Ladin will seize control of the Arab countries and start WWIII in the Middle East.

Or he's already rat food a the bottom of some cave...
