yeah you can also use the 007 trick, but i think you are limited in what you can do.
yeah, like actually having an xbox.
Im not too thrilled with all of the soldering involved, I thought it was much easier than that.
there are solderless ones, but i dont recommend them. they're prone to disconnect too easily.
