Does anybody care? Personally I think it hurts MLB, with free agency and many teams with newly configured clubhouses, this distracts the players and doesnt give the new teammates a chance to gel with their MLB team. Its also a farce since most pitchers are only going to go 3 innings each. It a glorified all-star exhibition game.
i'm gonna discuss this on the podcast so to prevent me "rehashing posts" I shall reserve my opinion.
I'm kinda on the fence, I just hope it generates the interest globally that's intended and that noone gets hurt or fucked up. Most of the players seemed into it & while some bowed out, I'm sure it was due to front office pressure regardless of what's been printed in the back pages. I'd like to see some games but unless theyre on at night I'll be reading more than watching.
its totally lame theres a pitch count and there can be a tie in the first round
i understand why they put those restrictions in, but just that they knew they had to put in those restrictions should have been enough for them not to do it. this is a horrible time to have it.
