It started out so fuckin good but the last few episodes have really fuckin sucked. There's a lot of great character development but they dont spend enough time on the interesting stuff. I'd much rather see more about paulie and his cancer or the phil/jonhnny sack stuff, instead of 30 minutes of vito and johnny cakes or janice bitching yet again.
more uncle junior, less johnny cakes. It's like they're dragging it out, it woulda been better then to just make this the final season and scratch the extra 8 episodes, rather then to stretch out this borefest.
Also I been reading that there are a bunch of the "dead" characters are supposed to appear in the final episode "cold stones". Everyone from richie aprile to big pussy and even Livia somehow.
Also Furio but he's not dead of course.
So naturally what that means is.... TONY HAS A DREAM SEQUENCE, WHAT A SHOCKER!!!
Definitely a slow episode and I can only hope that they wind it up with something big at the end of this season to appease us.
Also, from what I heard, Furio will never appear on the Sopranos again. His casting as Furio was one of his first roles and the fame went to his head. There was an interview with Gandolfini where he talked about the relationships/bonding between all the actors on the show and "the one person" who didn't really blend with the crew because of their developing diva sensibilities. Allegedly, the actor that played Furio was not only selling spoilers to gossip reporters, but even brought one along to the set one day. It was then that Chase got fed up and decided to write Furio off the show.
yo, it seems like this entire series is nothing but hype, and then everyone bitching about it afterwards. Is this show really as good as everyone hypes it up to be?
The show itself is an awesome show but if you have watched it from the start, then you know that the past few seasons aren't as great as they could be. Seasons 1 & 2 were fuckin genius, 3 was ok but started the skid. 4 was awful, 5 was much better and 6 started off like it might be one of the best yet but the last few episodes just seem very slow and are concentrating too much on uninteresting shit.
Though I certainly hope that they have something cooked up for the finale that will blow everyone away.
I gotta admit that the one scene with Vito on the job was pretty good, I guess cause it's so realistic. I know i've done that so many times, not looking at your watch and playing that game with yourself. Then finally you think it's like 2 already and its only 11.
Gonzo did a much better job on the Sopranos than Swiss Miss did.
Kudos!
holy shit I was thinking the same thing!!!! He took that knife like a real pro
at least vito died in my town
mike and the mad dog in the background while sil and carlo try to explain to tony while they clipped gonzo for one too many gay jokes was the highlight of the night.
What a peice of crap that was.
they should just name the show north caldwell 83605
hey lets have a build up t o watching a bunch of assholes drinking eggnog and AJ all of a sudden being daddy to some spic bastard.
sooooo jealous of aj soprano.
wasen't that the chick from xmen?
HBO will bring "The Sopranos" back for one last run on April 8, reports Variety.
"The Sopranos" returns for the second half of its sixth season with one more episode than expected. Creator David Chase produced nine episodes of the show's final stretch, rather than the eight that had been ordered.
"The Sopranos" will return to its normal timeslot, 9 p.m., followed by the spring premiere of "Entourage," back for the second half of its third season. "Entourage" will continue on Sundays at 10 p.m.
