Oleg maskaev knocked out hasim rahman and for the first time, all four heavyweight titles belong to fighters from the former Soviet Union.
this is a fuckin embarassment, that and the fact that there are 4 heavyweight titles (recongnized titles, theres actually like 30 different belts out there).
first person to make a "in soviet russia..." joke will be beaten to death.
It's all about the ufc nowadays. Boxing is dead.
I can't remember the last time I looked forward to a boxing match. I'd like to and used to love it but they've pretty much corrupted the sport to where it's nearly irreparable.
In soviet Russia, belts wear you!
we're too fat and happy in america. of course russia has better fighters, they're miserable and have been forced to grow stronger to survive.
keyser you are wrong to many niggas want to be rappers.
good point, we need to lock up more niggas. jail is the minor leagues of boxing.
I listen to max kellerman on 1050 10am-12pm and he is a HUGE boxing fan as you all know, and he was talking about Klitschko living in manhattan now so he should be adopted as a new york fighter. I know he's not american but he might be the closest thing we will see in a while
ps. if you are a boxing fan and a sport fan in general you might want to catch kellerman's show. he's giving away cool tickets from time to time, more frequently now, and actually gave away a full evening the night of the Klitschko fight including dinner with kellerman at a steak house and then ringside seats. pretty good prize if you're into that.
i used to love to harass kellerman when he was doing a public access show in ny about boxing.
Kellerman is amazing. Sports, politics, whatever.
Kellerman is one of best guys in the business.
Shannon Briggs beat Sergei Liakhovich for the WBO title a few weeks ago, so we do have an American Champ.
