Sorry, darling, but those lyrics are by Bob Dylan.
It's the best version of Jokerman available, better than any of the '03 live versions and much better than Infidels.

you know. I went and saw him up in NY on the 1st of september... I could have kicked myself for going, too. He sucked. I hated it. I knew I didn't want to see him in concert after the stellar Beacon Theater show 10 years ago. I could kick myself.
The only thing that made it semi-okay was that I brought my mom... she never saw him in concert before (and she thought he was great!!)....

Was that the Dutchess Stadium show?
I thought it was below average, too. Bob's voice was gone. It's not always like that, though, you just have to get lucky.
Another thing that was disappointing about that show was that he played a vanilla set and wasn't doing any of the new material. If you check out the recent set lists, he's usually doing 3 or 4 songs from the new album, and Thunder on the Mountain is part of the encore.

Yep, it was the one in Wappinger's Falls. I was annoyed with the whole show. He couldn't or wouldn't hold a note... he was just barking out three to four words per line... all the songs I didn't recognize till halfway thru them. By the time the three friggen warm-up acts were done I was ready to leave.... I didn't want to stand there anymore. I would have been better off sitting in the bleachers. I hate crowds like that anymore.
On the way home I listened to Modern Times and it pissed me off. I wanted to throw it out the window.

I think it has to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Probably a better question for the quarter-pounder with cheese pigs at the fag board.
