So yesterday I was downstairs in my basement and I noticed the shelves were lined with an old newspaper. I noticed the date was Wed. Sept 3rd, 1975. Here are some things I thought were worth scanning.
The first is a two part pic:
Police use tear gas and dogs on crows at Jefferson Airplane concert.
Next, we have an advertisment for the movie Jaws, 3-4 bedroom apartments for $150-$160 per month rent and an ad for a brand new AMC Gremlin, $2,900 FIRM!!
Next, we have a brand new electric dryer for just over $100
-A 3bdrm furnished cottage on the St. Lawrence river $15k. This cottage would go for hundreds of thousands today.
-3-4 bedroom homes for $20k-$25k
-front end allignment $9 bucks.
-brake adjustment $3 bucks.
-lube & oil change $4 bucks.
Pittsburgh Pirate vs. NY Mets
Check out the fucking dome on that ball cap!!
'73-'74 V8 Impala's and Nova's, 2 years old..
$3,000

this is a cool thread. i love it when i am working in a theater and i find old newspapers and playbills.
I wish I made today's wages with 1975 prices.
I'd be das pimp!
my chevelle would be so sweet!
Who needs power steering and brakes when you can look so damn sweet?
Oh man, this thread rules!

This thread sucks because Arpi likes it.
I think we have established that as well as being a known liar, I am horrible with scissors.

except when it comes to how a certain board got shut down!
