doesn't exist.
is a chart from this: http://gristmill.grist.org/skeptics website. Which is actually a left-leaning site, that helps to arm believers in the argument that climate change is real and that people are the cause of it.
Why they put it there, I don't know. They didn't even comment on it. But it CLEARLY shows a repeatable 100,000 year trend in temperature, carbon, and methane
was anyone who made that chart alive 100,000 years ago? NO
It most likely has to do with the earfs lopsided orbit around the big yellow thing.
so does this mean we should stop recycling & trying to keep the air & water clean? People talk about reducing gas emissions and handling toxic waste in a responsible manner like it's a bad thing, I dont fuckin' get it.
Recycle is a good thing. Why waste shit, just because you can?
yes.
The air is clean. The water is clean. Recycling is a) expensive b) more pollutive than making new and c) worthless.
Toxic waste, sure, great be responsible with that. Follow and enforce the laws that already exist.
But my point wasn't about that. The Gore and Kyoto folks want to revolutionize how business is run by putting all of the laws and controls into place under the auspices of stopping the inevitable climate catastrophe. But it's bullshit. Their basis for wanting all these changes isn't valid. It seems just like more anti-capitalism, anti evil big companies, and anti evil rich folk.
This graph makes it seem like there will be no climate catastrophe. It's a cycle. One that has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years, and one that has nothing to do with humans. And no one has been able to explain differently to me.

The only thing that is beneficial to recycle is aluminum. And that's why you get money for it.
paper is cheaper and cleaner for the environment to grow and cut down trees than to drive trucks around to collect the old paper, truck it to the plant, break it down, and make paper again.
In my opinion, there's no point in worrying over climate changes because throughout history, that's what's happened. I don't see it as the end of the world, just another change we're all going thru.
But there no harm in taking care of the environment and recycling. Save the trees, recycle the paper.
You will be my replacement for Drusilla.
Gore and friends are misguided commie dupe idiots.
No one ever brings up the fact that his own family is in the oil business too.

If that's the case, we'd win by a landslide <3
The Earth is what, 4+ billion years old? Are people really so naive to believe that any significant changes can happen to it over the course of a decade or 2?
Same thing with recycling. A complete waste of time. How long has recycling been a "mandatory" thing, 15-20 years or so? Without recycling during that time, do you really think the Earth would be in any worse shape than it is now? Separating your garbage is not going to save or prevent anything from happening. It only makes you look like a fucking fool when it all ends up in the same garbage truck anyway.
