Don't be paranoid, everyone has a friend jackie...usually they are just a little bit off too

I refuse to leave messages with family/friends unless it is something urgent that needs to be relayed immediately. Or if I feel a decent fart/burp coming on as it enters voicemail. Otherwise, they can just as easily see they missed a call, see who it's from, and call me back should they choose to.

I also never change my message from whatever the default is. I used Sprint and never even recorded my name; I just let it say they've reached the Sprint mailbox of whatever my phone number is.

Press # and sometimes you can erase the message and leave it again and do a better job. However, don't always count on that option being there, so don't yell "fuck" first when you realize you've botched it because you might get "message sent!" Then you'll really have something to "fuck" about.
