so i've been watching all the rocky movies on demand this week, as i realized the other day i never really saw the first 2.

in the first one when mickey is trying to convince rocky to let him be his manager, he says hes 76.
then, in rocky 3 (5 years later) when he dies, the date on the tombstone thing says april 7, 1905 - august 15, 1981. come on!
great. now I can't watch them anymore.
i'm sorry i had to point this out, but it bugged me

hopefully Lucas will fix that mistake when he releases the Special Editions.
they had a sneak preview of Rocky Balboa near my apartment last night.

As I was walking from the subway past the theatre on my way home, I saw a bunch of spics and coons; all guys, so many that I thought "wow, there's gotta be some Spike Lee thing or something".

Then I realized that I just live right in the middle of all the blacks and browns.
I can't wait for this film!

and rocky 1 is an awesome film which was watered down by the sequels, it really is an amazing film, it did win best picture.

Rocky 2 was good but that fuckin whiney adrian shit got to me.

Rocky 3 was sweet mainly cause of Clubber but thats when it jumped the shark.

Rocky 4 was a fuckin farce that is enjoyable only for how awful it is, but the soundtrack was sweet.

Rocky 5 doesnt exist.
I have to admit I loved Rocky 1 and 2.

Sly didn't really grow up in the neighborhood he shot Rocky. He grew up in a nice suburb of Philly. True fact!

true!
Rocky Balboa , according to the new commercails, is getting all sorts of rave reviews and shit.

I really am trying my darndest not to want to see this movie.

But when I hear Eye of The Tiger in the commercials.....its just so hard
im nostalgic, ill be suckered into seeing it.
after catching up and watching 1-4 on demand i'm excited
this movie will rule
from a user on imdb
Quote:This movie is rated PG, and parents will be happy to see that the graphic nature of boxing has been toned down quite a bit in this movie compared to others in the series. If you're looking for a touching family movie with a powerful message, Rocky Balboa is definitely a movie to see. I think adults and children over the age of 10 will throughly enjoy this movie.

A touchy, feely rocky? that sounds great I think I'll just watch Cinderella Man again
I so want to see this movie!
you SO wanted to see Harsh Times and what did that get you?
I happened to watch Ebert & Roeper this week, and (while Ebert was out and some broad was standing in), they were both absolutely raving about the movie.

Just stunning how much they said they loved it.

I still won't watch it.
