To be an officer in the NYPD, you need to take a psychological test, and they ask you why you want to be a cop. The people there are trained to see through the bullshit, and they don't allow people who they feel are dangerous don't get to go into the Academy. Maybe if the church instituted a screening process it could keep some, but not all men who have bad intentions out.

its called reasonable forseeable risk...some people are just good actors...I never said the system was perfect, but just imagine how many more Dover Townships there could be if the people weren't screened at all, not that it makes what happened any better.

Bottom line is nothing is perfect.
