How does one define a chickflick?
My call is that Say Anything and Far and Away are definately chick flicks. hell, I'd say that Jerry McGuire is a chick flick
I think I saw SLASH outside Maynard's house the other night with a massive boom box over his head blasting Peter Gabriel.
You guys are missing the all time greatest chick flick. Love Story with Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neil. No matter how many times I watch it, I still cry my eyes out every time. If you haven't seen it, you MUST rent it.
Ghost
Sleepless In Seattle
Pretty Woman
You've Got Mail
I wouldn't call Jerry Macguire a chick flick, by that standard 'Chasing Amy' is also a chick flick.
Jerry Maguire more a chick flick than Chasing Amy. In reality, the good parts in JM dealt more with the sports agent thing than the Renne Zellwilger thing. Mohr kicked ass in that film
Ikea decipher that again please.

My definition of a chick flick - any movie, either comedy or drama or action, based on a woman's issues or points of view.
Forgot about "Pretty Woman"...thanks Polly.
Forgot about "Ever After", too...Thanks Spit.
Another one I thought of: "LadyHawke" with Michelle Phiefer (She was also in "The Witches of Eastwick" with Cher and Susan Sarandon)
Also..."Wolf" with Jack Nicholson. Although, I can't say for sure or not if this is a chick flick, the ending of this movie was great (and thought provoking for me).
Moonstuck
When Harry Met Sally
Sleepless in Seattle
10th Kingdom (more of a mini-series)
Dirty Dancing
Love Potion #9
Virtual Sex with Tera Patrick
Thelma and Louise
Dirty Dancing
Pretty Woman
Shirley Valentine
The Other Sister.
But I enjoyed that. Anything with two retards is good in my book.
I say, if a typical girl cries during the movie, it's a chick flick.
So Maguire was a chick flick. Chasing Amy wasn't a chick flick, it was a horribly inept, boring movie.
dirty dancing
say anything
and the other sister ruled

I don't know, Galt..."Old Yeller" made me cry and I don't consider that a chick flick.
