2American a homosexual man. It is not certain wheteher this term is an embellished version of fag, derived from the old British sense of the word (above), or is a native American invention. The second alternative appears the most likely.

It's actually spelled "bejesus". Not "bejebus". And it shouldn't scare you..we had a riveting discussion on Lord of the Flies today in relation to Jack, Ralph, and Piggy being symbolic representations of Freud's Id, Ego, and Super ego.
